Heute bekam ich Post von Biz Stone. Was wie Spam aussah, weil ich nicht gut informiert war, ist in Wahrheit ein Meilenstein in Copyright-Talk: „Ownership—Twitter is allowed to ‚use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute‘ your tweets because that’s what we do. However, they are your tweets and they belong to you“, so Stone im Twitter Blog.

Google News: Nachdem Verlage, Regierungen und Verbände Sturm gegen das Book Settlement liefen, goes Google Open now:
– Deutscher Buchhandel sieht Berner Konvention verletzt
– Amazon bemüht Wettbewerbsrecht
– Microsoft beklagt Rechtsmissbrauch
– Google bietet Verlegern Micropayment-Lösung an
– Google will digitale Bibliothek für Wettbewerber öffnen
Egal, wie es ausgeht. Es ist schon vorbei. Das wahre Rennen beginnt jetzt erst. Googles Rechtsvorstand David Drummond blickt durch: „The world of online books is changing in far more revolutionary ways. [..] It?s the newest titles and books yet to be written that will drive competition and commerce for digital books, not out-of-print books held in libraries.“
+++Werbeinsel Ende+++
Nur der Twitter-Boss findet da noch Worte. Wir wiederholen: „It’s important that everyone who tweets, develops apps, or is simply interested in Twitter understands that it’s not about the technology, it’s about how we all use the service that matters most.“
Because that’s what we do.
